Good Morning & Playing with Connor
Oh how I just love getting Leah out of her crib in the morning. She is oh so very happy and full of smiles when she wakes up. Since Noah wakes up at the crack of dawn, he cuddles in my bed with me until we hear Leah wake up. As soon as we hear her, we both run down the hall to greet her smiling face...
Connor!! As we were going to bed last night, I told Noah that Connor was coming over in the morning, and he was so excited that he couldn't sleep...no joke! He kept calling for me and asking me over and over again if Connor was coming over...like I would lie to him about something so wonderful and great!? Noah and Connor had a blast playing with trains, shooting some hoops, cooking me some very yummy meals in the kitchen, and reading some books. Good times. Connor {and Annie}, come over again soon :).

My Valentine
This is the card that I gave Doug for Valentine's Day...
Doug and I met working together. What if he hadn't moved up to Salt Lake to go to school and get a job where I was working? What if? BUT, he did, and we ran into each other at work...I will always remember hoping that he would be there whenever I worked because he made my time there so much more enjoyable. It almost didn’t feel like work at all when I was working with him.
I’ll always remember our first Valentine’s Day together, which was about one month after we started dating. That was the first time that I had ever had a Valentine of my own, and I am SO very thankful that he is still my Valentine!
We didn’t have any plans for Valentine’s Day this year, but after a visit from some of our dearest friends, we found ourselves going to dinner with them with the kids in tow. They were so kind to invite us along and we had such a wonderful time! We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, which is now one of my new favorite restaurants! Their yummy rolls with this extra yummy honey-cinnamon butter were the BEST I have ever eaten, and the dinner was fabulous too! Once we got home, we put the kids in their new jammies and then Doug and I cuddled up and watched the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest…those boys are talented!
Thanks, babe, for a wonderful Valentine's Day. I love you!
Ya...I didn't mean to cut of Doug's head...but don't Leah and Noah look cute sporting their new jammies!?!?

Dino Museum
We went to the Dinosaur Museum for our playdate today. I love getting together with these girls...it is so nice to catch up as our kids enjoy themselves. Noah was kind of a grump today and didn't really want to participate, but I figure he was just having one of those days. While all of the kids were playing in the water display, he was sitting next to me eating a granola bar...whatever. We did have a wonderful time and we look forward to getting together again!

Take That...Kobe!
Doug and I were given the opportunity to go to the Jazz vs. Laker game last night, and I was SO excited for two reasons...
1. I was able to go on a date with Doug. We seriously need to start going out weekly so that we can just be together without kids screaming in our ears. It was nice to just walk with him and hold his hand and not have to worry about the kids. Thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law for watching the kids for us...you don't know how much we appreciate it!
2. I really don't like the Lakers...AT ALL! I was very confident that the Jazz would deliver, so I was thrilled to be able to be there when this happened :).
The game was SO intense and the Jazz only won by four points! GO JAZZ! There were so many Lakers fans there...I was really surprised at how many there were. And, of course, we were surrounding by a ton of those fans...we still had a good time though. Even when that one Lakers fan started twirling his jersery over his head, started screaming, then started to hit the head of the lady next to him with his jersey intentionally, which in turn brought the security guards over...I guess that just made the game more entertaining.
The best part was at the end when the entire arena was standing and screaming, while Kobe walked off the floor and all the Lakers fans hiked up the stairs to leave. Good times ;).

Mr. Tree
After our afternoon nap, I decided that we HAD to get out of the house. Yes, it is still cold outside, and I so don't enjoy the cold {you would think that I would be used to it since I have lived here my entire life!}, but we all needed some sunshine to brighten up our day. Noah craves being outside, and I feel so badly during these winter months when it is so cold to even step outside the front door! Brrrr!!! I couldn't be more excited for Spring to come our way this year...please, Spring, come soon...for my the sake of my kids :).
Anyway, we went to a little place that I know of that has tons of trees and a huge open field that is perfect for a little 2 year old to run around. He was bursting with excitement when I pulled him out of the car and he just ran and ran to his hearts content. Watching the joy in his little face is priceless! Once he was finally tired, he came over to me and Leah and took us over to this massive tree. We all sat on the ground looking up at this tree for a good 15 minutes. Noah wanted to know if it had a name, and I told him that I didn't know it's name and that he should name it, so he named it Mr. Tree! I think that we will have to go back soon to say hi to our new friend :).
